As the daughter of a dental assistant, Lisa decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She studied the practical skills of dental radiology at Atlantic County Vocational School but she learned the personal part of the job from her mother. “She taught me about the importance of showing kindness and compassion to your patients,” said Lisa. Lisa enjoyed growing up in the area, and decided it would be the ideal place to raise her own family. She has a daughter, Katelyn, who makes her proud to be a mom every day.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, making her house a home, and losing a good game of tennis to her daughter. She feels very blessed to have a close group of girlfriends in her life. Her favorite motto is “live, laugh, and love.”
A recent addition to our team, Jenny has fit right in and continues to impress our patients! As a new team member to Serenity Smile Designs, she looks forward to expanding her knowledge of dentistry to meet the standard of care Dr. Erik and Dr. Alexa both share.
Jenny graduated from Egg Harbor Township High School and brings with her over fifteen years of experience in the dental field. She lives locally with her husband, two children and their cat. In her spare time you will most likely find Jenny reading, enjoying yoga, shopping for antiques, or spending time with her family.
Maria started in dentistry as a registered dental assistant in 1999. When she realized the satisfaction she got from educating and helping patients, she furthered her education at The Community College of Philadelphia to become a dental hygienist. Maria arrived at Serenity Smile Designs in 2013.
Maria feels at home at Serenity Smile Designs because of the mutual respect of the doctors, dental team and patients. The patients are the team’s first priority and their shared goal of overall health exceeds expectations far and wide.
She is a proud wife, mom of two beautiful children and resides in Egg Harbor Township. She loves spending time with her family, vacationing, and the beach, of course. Her husband and kids keep her very busy with sports and activities, so when she’s not hanging with the Serenity Team you’re likely to see her around town.

Jessica knew that when she first started working at Serenity Smile Designs that she found her forever dental home. Jes particularly enjoys meeting the fun new patients she treats and the opportunity to help others become healthier and more educated about their health. “The best part of my job is witnessing the happiness that radiates from patients as we positively affect their lives through perfecting their smile and improving their overall health.”
When she isn’t caring for our patients, Jes enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Kyle, and competing in a recreational pool league. Tina has been a Registered Dental Hygienist at Serenity Smile Designs for years. She earned her B.S. in Dental Hygiene at Manor College and has been in the dental field since 2000. Tina is extremely knowledgeable in her field and is great at making the work day stress-free and fun! Tina feels rewarded as a dental hygienist when she is able to educate her patients on periodontal disease and then sees her patients return with healthy teeth and gums.
Tina enjoys working closely with our wonderful team and patients to achieve improved oral health through complete health dentistry. This is why Tina finds dental hygiene to be such a rewarding career! She has a gentle touch and works hard to educate patients about their oral health.
When Tina is not seeing patients at work, she can be found spending quality time with her husband, Dr. Erik Mendelsohn, and their daughter, Amara. They live locally in Margate and can’t imagine calling any other place home. They enjoy the outdoors, love the beach, and try to make the most out of each summer by soaking up as much sun as possible.
Nicole graduated from Dental Hygiene Program at Camden County College in 2014, but has been passionate about cleaning teeth her entire life. Nicole became a dental hygienist because she loves people. Perhaps that sounds a bit cliché, but guess what? She really does, and her love for her patients is communicated in the way she listens to them and makes them feel like family. When she is able to educate someone on the role that their oral health plays in their overall health and teach them why oral hygiene is so important she feels like she is making a real difference in the world.
Outside of work, Nicole approaches her life with the same passion she does as a hygienist. She loves to spend time with people she loves, and walks and hikes with her dogs. She lives locally in Mays Landing with her boyfriend, Tony, and their fur family of two dogs and two cats.

When she isn’t busy with her children’s outdoor activities, Sherri enjoys playing in an adult field hockey league. She also is extremely talented and loves to design and hand paint wood signs in her free time.
